If you would have told me five years ago that before I was thirty I would have three kids- I would have thought you were crazy and it wasn’t possible. But boy was I wrong- I’m almost twenty-nine and I have those three kids plus two dogs, two cats and a guinea pig. The real twist to the story is I have a high schooler, middle schooler and one in elementary. Having kids sort of happened over night for me, Steve came as a package deal, three kids and a cat (we are crazy and added the rest of the pets together). I could have not been more fortunate that Steve, Jared, Camden and Leighton were so welcoming and lovingly allowed me to join their family. Over the past couple of years we have become your typical family and it the little things that I love the most, getting ready for school, making lunches, movie nights, hearing about their days, listening to friend drama, learning what makes the each other happy or annoys them :). It might not be the typical life of a someone in their late 20s, but it is my life and I wouldn’t change it for anything. Thank you to Steve for loving me enough to becoming apart of your family and your kid’s life in such a major way, it means everything to me! Jared, Camden and Leighton you three have forever changed my world and showed me what unconditional love really is. One of my favorite quotes relating to you three is, “I did not give you the gift of life, life gave me the gift of you”. This might not be the life I thought I would be living five years ago, but it sure is an extraordinary one and I’m so grateful it’s mine!
