Pumpkin Patch

I have always enjoyed traditions growing up and into my adult life, but now with three kids, I appreciate them even more. As a family we have quite a few traditions that we partake in, one being pumpkin picking and lunch or dinner in Romeo (which happens to be my hometown). There are so many great orchards in Romeo that we don’t have a favorite, but I might be biased since I grew up going to all of them. The three we normally go to are Blakes Apple Orchard, Westview Orchard and the orchard we went to this year Miller’s Big Red. Luckily the weather cleared up Sunday afternoon and we were able to make our way out to the field and pick our perfect pumpkins. The only issue was it was a little too muddy and wet to enjoy any of the other fun activities like the corn maze, hay barrels or outdoor games – but I guess that is what next weekend is for! We were still able to enjoy donuts and cider- well everyone else enjoyed donuts… After the orchard, we continued the tradition and had dinner at Younger’s sitting in the same booth we always do.
